Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Scan2Call websites, APIs, and resident mobile application. By using Scan2Call you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. The service
Scan2Call lets residents publish QR / short-code contact points so visitors can start a browser-based audio or video call to the resident app. Features may change as we improve the product.
2. Accounts
- Residents must sign in with a valid Google account.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- We may suspend or deactivate accounts that abuse the service, violate these Terms, or create safety/security risk.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or unlawfully record other people
- Attempt to break into, overload, or disrupt the service
- Use Scan2Call for illegal surveillance or fraud
- Reverse engineer or scrape the service beyond normal use
- Misrepresent your identity to visitors or residents
4. Calls and recording
- Visitors and residents must grant camera/microphone permission for video/audio calls to work.
- Optional local recording by residents may be available. If recording is active, visitors are notified in the call UI. You must follow applicable consent laws before recording.
- Call quality depends on device capability and network conditions; we do not guarantee uninterrupted connectivity.
5. QR codes and visitor access
Anyone who can scan or open your public QR / link may attempt to call you. Keep printed codes in appropriate places and regenerate or deactivate access if a code is compromised. Deactivated accounts cannot receive calls.
6. Intellectual property
Scan2Call software, branding, and site content belong to CodeConsole AI or its licensors. You keep ownership of content you submit (such as door labels or custom QR artwork) and grant us a limited license to host and display it to operate the service.
7. Third-party services
Sign-in and notifications may use Google / Firebase. Their terms and privacy policies also apply to those components.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that calls will always connect or that the service will be error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CodeConsole AI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of Scan2Call. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of amounts you paid us in the prior 12 months or USD $50.
10. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify CodeConsole AI against claims arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
11. Termination
You may stop using Scan2Call at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms. Sections that by nature should survive (including liability limits and IP) will survive termination.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms. The effective date will change when we do. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
